When fired at a low temperatures, the AMACO V-392 Blood Orange underglaze paint gives an intense, red-orange color, which slightly darkens as the firing temperature increases. Please note: when used with HF-9 Zinc-Free Clear glaze, bubbles may appear on the glaze surface. We recommend using a different transparent glaze for firings in the range of 1200-1240°C. Stir or shake well before use. To obtain full coverage, apply 2-3 layers of the underglaze, and to intensify the color use a transparent, matte or glossy glaze, adjusted to the final firing temperature. The temperature range of AMACO Velvet Underglazes is from 1000°C to 1300°C, but the color may change as the firing temperature increases.
