Ceramic stains

Mason Stains® are ceramic pigments based on specially burnt oxides to ensure color stability and repeatability of effects. You can use them to color glazes, create your own underglazes, engobes as well as color ceramic bodies. Mason Stains® should be used in amounts ranging from 1% to 15% of the weight of the final product (glaze, ceramic body, etc.) - the amount of stain used will affect the depth of color. Mason Stains® can be fired in both oxidizing and reduction atmospheres up to 1300°C. When firing pink and purple shades at high temperatures, we recommend carrying out tests on the selected clay body and with the selected firing curve to ensure desired results.
