Laguna Clay WC607 55 Off White is a smooth, subtly speckled stoneware clay for wheel throwing. Its pale fired colour complements delicate glaze shades.

Laguna Clay WC607 55 Off White is a stoneware clay body that fires to a pale cream-buff colour. Its softly variegated surface features fine, irregular speckles from fireclay ingredients, adding visual interest without overpowering the finished piece. Speckling can vary from one piece to another.

Developed primarily for wheel throwing, WC607 has a smooth, workable texture suited to everyday studio use. It can be thrown into cups, bowls, plates and vases, from smaller forms to functional tableware where a clean profile and careful finishing matter.

The light-coloured fired clay body makes a versatile backdrop for glazes, particularly whites, pastels and other subtle shades. Compared with darker clay bodies, it has less influence on the appearance of pale glazes. Its natural speckles may also show through transparent glazes, adding a gentle variation to the surface.

The firing range is 1000–1240°C. Bisque firing can be carried out at approximately 1000°C, followed by a glaze firing up to 1240°C, depending on the glaze used. At 1240°C, total shrinkage is 11% and water absorption is 1.9%.
