Instructions for use:
Be sure to wear gloves. The bottle with the Diazo Sensitizer must be filled with water. The bottle, although light, IS NOT EMPTY (note: contains phosphoric acid). Fill the bottle halfway with water and mix the solution thoroughly with a wooden stick. A noticeable color change will occur. After thoroughly mixing the activator, add it entirely to the Diazo emulsion container. The color of the emulsion will change from light blue to green. Mix everything thoroughly until fully combined. Apply the mixture to the top part of the screen using a squeegee or a trough for spreading (there is no need to do this process in a darkroom). It is better to apply more emulsion than necessary. Any excess can be easily scraped off with the squeegee and returned to the container. Then repeat the process on the other side of the screen. The screen should be evenly coated, without drips or lumps. Dry the screen in a place without direct heat or light, in a horizontal position with the coated side facing down. For the best result, ensure there is a gap between the screen and the surface by placing the corners on equal supports. If you plan to make more than 300 prints, it is recommended to apply an additional layer of emulsion to the bottom of the screen after drying. The layers should be thin and even. The next step is preparing the positive printed on clear film and exposing the design. After the emulsion has dried, place the positive or transparency directly onto the emulsion-coated surface and expose to light. If you need to remove the dried emulsion, the best results are achieved using the Photo Emulsion Remover. The product has a 3-year shelf life before mixing with the activator. Once mixed, it lasts for up to 4 weeks when stored at 30°C, up to 8 weeks at 20°C, and up to 4 months in the refrigerator.
