Mayco UG-207 Flame Red underglaze gives a bright red color when fired at low temperature, which darkens and gains depth as the firing temperature increases. The color becomes brighter during reduction firing. To obtain full coverage, apply 2-3 layers of the underglaze. For watercolor effect dilute the underglaze with water. The use of transparent, matte or glossy glaze will intensify the color. The firing temperature of Mayco Fundamentals underglazes ranges from 1000°C to 1300°C, however, the colors may change as the firing temperature increases.
