Mayco SW-151 Olive Float high-fire glaze creates a shiny, dark green surface with olive-green crystals. In reduction firing, as the temperature increases, the color of the glaze changes to red, while the olive elements remain unchanged. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
