Mayco SW-304 Copper Wash

Mayco SW-304 Copper Wash produces a warm metallic finish that breaks into textured green. Applying Copper Wash over a ceramic glaze will increase its "flow" and add green effects. The degree of glaze mobility will depend on its properties (the effect for "floating" glazes will be multiplied, while stable glazes will move only slightly) and on how many layers of each product have been applied. Be cautious, when combining Copper Wash with other glazes, and apply the product only to the upper 2/3 of your work. Applying Copper Wash under transparent glaze may reduce the color intensity.

Mayco Washes are a highly concentrated metallic glaze colorants, which are formulated for ease of use and versatility. Based on metal oxides, they are primarily used for silkscreen printing and rubbing into the surface of the ceramic body to accentuate the texture. They can also be used in combination with any glaze in the temperature range of 1000-1300°C.
