Mayco SW-301 Iron Wash produces rust red color with a smooth, matte finish. It is perfect for stamping and silkscreen printing because of its stability. It can be layered with other glazes for interesting effects. Applying Iron Wash under transparent glaze may reduce the color intensity.
Mayco Washes are a highly concentrated metallic glaze colorants, which are formulated for ease of use and versatility. Based on metal oxides, they are primarily used for silkscreen printing and rubbing into the surface of the ceramic body to accentuate the texture. They can also be used in combination with any glaze in the temperature range of 1000-1300°C.
