G-shaped trimming tool by KJ Ceramics with a durable tungsten carbide blade for fast, smooth removal of larger amounts of clay from bigger ceramic forms.

The G-shaped trimming tool by KJ Ceramics works especially well for trimming large ceramic forms. Its shape allows for fast, controlled removal of larger amounts of clay while maintaining a smooth cutting action. The curved profile helps guide the tool naturally across the surface.

This ceramic tool by KJ Tools features a contoured, comfortable beech wood handle. The blade is made of tungsten carbide and sharpened at the proper angle so that it moves smoothly through the clay. It is very hard and durable, which is why it stays sharp for a long time. However, after many months of regular use, if it becomes slightly dull, it can be sharpened using a fine 400-grit (or higher) diamond file or good-quality sandpaper. The inside of the blade should be sharpened, as the outer edge is beveled and does not require sharpening.

Note: special care must be taken during use and storage. The blade is very hard and durable, but for that same reason it is also exceptionally brittle. Dropping it on the floor or allowing it to come into contact with another hard tool may cause the blade to shatter into pieces like porcelain. Do not soak it in water. After use, it is best to wash it quickly and wipe it dry. It is recommended to store it in a separate box or in a foam-lined container.
