Mayco UG-220 Sage underglaze when fired at low temperature gives a light, olive green color, which darkens with increasing firing temperature. With reduction firing, the color warms up. To obtain full coverage, apply 2-3 layers of the underglaze. For watercolor effect dilute the underglaze with water. The use of transparent, matte or glossy glaze will intensify the color. The firing temperature of Mayco Fundamentals underglazes ranges from 1000°C to 1300°C, however, the colors may change as the firing temperature increases.
