AMACO V-318 Rose underglaze is a deep magenta that is dark at 1050°C and becomes patchy at 1200°C before it burns out almost completely at 1300°C. A clear glaze over Rose will accentuate the color at 1050°C but at 1200°C and 10, there is no color change between glazed and unglazed.

To ensure full coverage, apply 2-3 coats of the underglaze on leather-hard or bisque-fired clay. The AMACO Velet Underglazes are highly pigmented and will give saturated colors in a wide firing range.
