Mayco SW-3 Crackle Matte high-fire glaze creates a satin, clear surface on which cracks form after firing. In reduction firing, as the temperature increases, the glaze becomes semi-transparent. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
