Mayco SW-221 Mint Speck is a satin-matte, semi-opaque mint green that breaks over texture. Contains small purple, orange and yellow specks. This glaze is highly stable. The color changes to a glossy, transparent pale blue and specks blur and lose definition with increased application thickness as the reduction firing temperaturee increases. Remains stable.
The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
