Mayco SW-215 Micro Champagne glaze, when fired at 1240°C, creates a shiny, yellow-beige surface with tiny golden-brown crystals. As the temperature increases in the reduction firing, the crystals disappear from the glaze surface. Glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in a temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
