Mayco SW-197 FOSSIL ROCK stoneware glaze

Mayco SW-197 Fossil Rock glaze was inspired by the colors of the soil. It produces beige-grey color with a matt finish. As the reduction firing temperature increases, the colors becomes grey. This glaze is not food-safe. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
