The Mayco SW-117 Honeycomb glaze, when fired at 1240°C, gives a grey-brown color with beige elements. As the reduction firing temperature increases, the colors become warmer. As the firing temperature increases, the colors darken. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
