Mayco SW-229 Mood Ring is a glossy, opaque dark green glaze that breaks brown over texture and has an iridescent sheen. As the temperature increases during reduction firing, color darkens.
The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
