Mayco SW-227 Tidal Wave is a glossy, semi-opaque white glaze that breaks over texture. Contains blue crystals. As the temperature increases during reduction firing, changes to a glossy blue. Heavy crystal application may effect color results and movement.
The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
