Ferro Frit 3134 is a widely used, general-purpose frit with a long history of success across low to mid-range firing temperatures. It is commonly used as a lime and borate source across low- to mid-range firing temperatures (cone 06–10). Its high boron content makes it a powerful flux, its high sodium allows reduced feldspar use, and its very high calcium content makes it especially useful for chrome-tin pinks and maroons. The frit has a relatively high thermal expansion, making it valuable in frit blends for adjusting glaze fit.
