Velvets fire true-to-color as 1050°C underglaze or fired to 1240°C. Some colors remain true as high as 1300°C. For best results, apply three coats of chosen underglaze. Velvet Underglazes can be mixed with each other to create your own shades. They can also be used as the final finish of the work, without applying a layer of glaze - Velvet Underglazes create then a velvety to the touch surface.
