Mayco SW-4 Stoneware Zinc-Free Clear glaze recommended for use with chromium-based pigments (i.e. in underglazes), when fired at 1240°C creates a uniform, shiny surface. The glaze does not change its properties in the entire temperature range. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
