SW-198 ROSE QUARTZ stoneware glaze

Mayco SW-198 Rose Quartz gives an opaque, pink color with small, opalescent crystals forming on the glaze surface. As the reduction firing temperature increases, the color fades and becomes pale pink, more crystals appear. The glaze moves on vertical surfaces. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
