Mayco SW-189 Cenote glaze when fired at 1240°C gives a light blue color containing brown crystals and becomes translucent over texture. As the firing temperature increases, the blue color changes towards grey. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
