SW-171 ENCHANTED FOREST stoneware glaze

Mayco SW-171 Enchanted Forest gives a glossy, dark grey color with little yellow and slightly bigger green-blue crystals on the glaze surface. As the reduction firing temperature increases, color of the glaze becomes bluer and yellow crystals turn white. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
