Mayco SW-166 Norse Blue glaze, when fired at 1240°C, gives a translucent blue-green color, which darkens and grays as the temperature of reduction firing increases. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
