Mayco SW-155 Winter Wood glaze, when fired at 1240°C, gives a beige, matte color that contains brown crystals. As the reduction firing temperature increases, the white color starts to crystalize on the glaze surface. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
