Originally formulated to dilute the color of Celadon series glazes, AMACO C-11 Mixing Clear can be used as a stand-alone clear glaze. Mixing Clear is a stiff gloss zinc-free glaze that works well with most underglazes. The glazes from the AMACO Celadon series are pigment-based and therefore can be mixed together to obtain your own shades. For best results apply 2-3 layers, allowing the glaze to dry inbetween. The Celadon glazes are very stable and work perfectly as a base in combination with more flowing glazes, e.g. from the AMACO Potter's Choice or Mayco Stoneware series.
