Mayco SW-106 Alabaster glaze, when fired at 1240°C, gives a matt white-beige surface. As the firing temperature increases, light grey crystals form on the glaze surface.
The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
